Have you ever felt a special connection to an animal or place and wondered if there is more to it than just an aesthetic appreciation? Have you heard about animal or spirit guides and wondered if there is a reason you are drawn to one species more than another? Herbalist, Christina Winters, trained in shamanic rituals and energy work, will take you on a journey to meet your spirit guide, help you cast a spell jar of your highest intention, and learn about herbs that produce oneirogenic effects, or lucid dreams. These plants have been used for thousands of years for prophetic purposes.
Spell jars were born from folk magic dating back as far as the 17th C. They were used for protection, to ward off evil, or to cure disease. Today, we use them as physical representations of what we hope to manifest, an ancient accountability partner, a symbolic and energetic reminder of where we are going and what we want to realize. Over the year, Founder, Christina Winters, collects herbs from her garden, feathers on her walks, and stones and shells from her hikes and beachcombing. Representing Earth, Air and Water, she teaches how to combine these elements to support an intention. In the last step, Christina guides students in how to cast a spell and seal a spell jar with the element, Fire.
Students will go home with a rich connection to their environment, a beautiful symbol of their intention, and new ways to look for messages in nature.

We will learn which flowers to choose, how to capture their unique energy, and ways to incorporate lunar light to enhance our vibration. Each season challenges our skin in new ways and everyday cuts, scrapes and bruises can have us reaching for products whose ingredients we know little about. What if you learned that there were incredible plants growing in your garden, on your hikes, and as weeds at the edge of your lawns that offer potent antiseptic and styptic care, that can help regenerate and nourish dry or damaged skin, and can help repair bruises, sprains and strains? In this hands on class, students will create not only their own natural first aid kit but nourishing salves to pamper their skin for any time of year.
